Yeah another post about Burning Man! Whatever, deal with it. This was my 6th year at TTID(Thay Thing In the Desert) and my third with Camp Decentral. Amazing year and amazing campmates.
One of my favorite day time art pieces visually was a giant metal head known as the Flybrary.
By Christina Sporrong this head was easily spotted anywhere on playa with its imposing angular head (what a jaw line!) and flocks of book birds pouring from the top of it's head. There appeared to be a small library and a spiral staircase inside but at the time of my visit it was all locked up, It was pretty early in the week so maybe the early bird doesn't always get the worm?
You can find the artist's blog here if you love it!
