Are Paper Books Better Than E-Books?

Do you read you books online via Amazon, Kindle, Nook, PDF, etc? Or do you like to curl up with a paperback novel and read the old fasion way? Are paper books on thw way our or will they be around forever?

In case you don't know who I am here is my intro post from way back:

I love reading and had in excess of 500 books. We moved house and I had to get rid of some stuff, including at least half of the books.

Switching to Kindle was amazing. I now have no books. Everything is on Kindle. Initially, I missed the look, feel, weight and smell of books. Not anymore!

Travelling is even better. I now travel with every book I own. Effortlessly.

Get a Kindle!

I really enjoy ebooks and audiobooks over paper these days. Books are too fragile for me, I like to bring them everywhere so an ereader is super helpful.

Of course! Nothing beats the feel of turning over a page on a real book. I do have e-books myself, but it just is not the same.

I prefer a hand held book as opposed to looking at a screen. But, having a computer that can hold all of the weight twenty books that one can hold in one's hands is tough to beat. It has got to be a trade off.

Not all of what I might want to read can be found in a book just yet; just here in the digital space can it be found.

I hope books stick around. I don't like the fact that things can be change digitally so easily. If the wrong sorts of people want to direct the masses more effectively, all they have to do is change some words and say it has always been like it was. (It will drive us crazy knowing how much stuff they change to their liking.) Having a hard copy of a book, the words will not "magically" change anytime soon.

I read both. I read e-books when I'm on the go and paper books when I have time to sit down and relax.

I read books online or downloaded onto my computer. And I read printed books as well. If I am reading a novel I prefer printed books. They are easier on the eyes and I am more comfortable with them. Shorter books and stories and blogs are OK to read online.

that physical books can not be substituted: D.
Waiting for a bit of luck on my birthday. weeee!

Staring constantly on the screen can be exhausting for the eyes and brain.

It depends on the situation or where you want to study if you love the technology then the ebook is better.
If you want to take care of your eyes then the paper book
According to me, paper book is preferable. however, we are about loose eyesight by watching this mobiles and computers day and night.

Do you prefer e-books over printed books? Here are the top 5 reasons why e-books are better.

In my opinion Paper Books is better than E-Books, because you can read in somewhere place in the time that you prefer

Printed books are better in terms of accurate information delivery.

All types of books are good. and Those who make them Excellent Books It is not your form If it is Physical or Electronic .. it is YOUR CONTENT.

A big no from my side because almost 7 million trees are cutting down just for papers and we all know nature is life. Some people disagree with me they thought physical books are more effective than e-books but I don't think so its mental level problem how focus you are to learn something.

Let's have a real-life example I am a University student and I belong a lower-middle-class family who is hardly affording my college fee and my living expenses and from last four years, I haven't bought a single page book. I have learned everything online absolutely free whether it is my own syllabus or magazines because I can't afford more money for buying books.
You can carry hundreds of e-books without any problem and you are also saving nature, that's amazing !
Thank you :-)

for me only physical books are, it is the essence of the book, ... PS: see if you ever choose me in your life: D

Hii @bunnypuncher in my opinion Paper books are better because we have the chance to pass each page and have a direct contact with the book, but in my case i read in PDF, because in Venezuela it is impossible to buy a book with all the economic problems, and in recent years most people read in pdf for that reason. In another point, digital books have a positive point because if we want a book urgently, we have the opportunity to find it and download it on the Internet. Greetings and thanks for this contest and opportunity.

I read both but any day I will prefer a paper book. I feel I can focus better when I am reading a paper per book. My eyes feel more relaxed with paper books as there is no flashing light on them.

Are paper books better than electronic books?

the reality is that everything in this life is an evolution; There is nothing like reading a book in physics, I mean on paper, and feeling the smell of paper, hugging the book, kissing it and even biting it; but as the world progresses and you have to go step by step with it, and at this moment there are audio books, electronic or digital books, which you can find in various formats. and you can read them on different devices like it is on the pc, on the lapto, mini lapto, android phones, but my favorite and favorite is on the tablet, you can also stop and pause reading, have your bookmarks and reread your favorite parts and your space for comments and even chat comments, to make references to the book and criticism, my conclusion is that a story, novel, story, poems; the way you read it; the most important thing is that you finish reading. you knew that reading this helps keep your brain active and this prevents suffering in a future time of Alzheimer's disease, so I most certainly invite you to experiment more often reading. but my favorite at this moment is the electronic book.

*For people who like technology, electronics will always be better.

  • I read my books in physical form
  • I like to snuggle up and enjoy them the old-fashioned way
*Because there is no access to technology everywhere, I have a feeling that there will be a little more time in the physical world.

Yes paper books are better than e books due to following reason :
1.You can underline , highlight and write any short cut formula anywhere in the book without worrying that whether e books are editable or not .
2.Read books anytime anywhere in any condition without worrying about dying battery and recharging tab /mobile.
3.When you accumulate a lot of print books and put them on your shelf or table, it gives automatic impression on other people think that how much you love reading.
4.you dont have to wait to boot up your device , whereas in print book just select the topic and start reading.
5.You didnt give your device to anyone as they are breakable and costlier, whereas in print book you can easily ready to share it with someone.
6.A economically backward class student may easily buy used print book and learn them.
7.Print book does not locked with password just open and learn.
And the ultimate once is :
8.You can easily tore a page from print book and keep it safely during the exam in exam hall.

In my opinion, e-books are more used than paper books because in general or in the present we are in, it is more useful and more comfortable for the reader to use a tablet, phone or computer.

I think that text written on paper is like vinyl. Some people will swear by it, but for convenience reasons, most of the time text will be read in a digital format.

From my perspective, e-books are better than paper books.

In this information technology age, e-books has developed significantly due to its amazing convenience. Specifically, Just by using a smartphone or a tablet, people are able to access tons of e-books with an ease, instead of bringing some books along. It's super useful and comfortable for those hesitating to open a paper book to read while books seem to be quite heavy and inconvenient.

However, some people find it hard to concentrate on reading e-books compared to paper books because they tend to do some stuff like checking their news feeds on social media such as Facebook and Instagram. In the case reading a paper book, they keep their phones away so it may be easier for them to focus on what they are reading on the books.

To sum up, although there are several potential drawbacks, I strongly believe that e-books are playing a greater role in reality than paper books are.

Books are the carriers of civilization. Without books, history is silent, literature dumb, science crippled, thought and speculation at a standstill. They are engines of change, windows on the world, lighthouses erected in the sea of time

In the ideal world, I would prefer to read paper books in my well-supplied study. In the actual world, there are many benefits to my Kindle. I can get a book that I am interested in most often within minutes, I can carry a lot of books with me, and I can read at night lying next to my girlfriend without disturbing her.

@bunnypuncher Books are for gaining knowledge, entertainment, philosophy etc. But all this we can have on steemit, ebooks etc Also ebooks are cheper , environmental friendly, and independent.
So, i love to read from ebooks.

Paperbooks are better because it won't damage your eyes reading even if you repeat reading it all over again. And paperbooks can be read even if you don't have an internet connection unlike e-books.

I prefer the books that I can touch

Ebook are better because you have many books in one

It makes no difference to me. If anything, the e-book is more convenient, being a lot smaller and holding more books.

E-book is environmentally friendly

Makin' random comments, and maybe they are and maybe they are not.

E-book is easy to carry and has a relatively small size

e-books are more perfect and more interesting

I prefer to read a paper books, but I end up reading ebooks for convenience and price :p

the use of e-books more convenient and awake for use.

Ebook is much better for travel, but I find I buy ebooks and then never read them, just like having a Steam game backlog! If I have a physical book, I'm more likely to actually sit down and read...

The nostalgia of having a hard copy in hand is best! That is all!

e-books are better than ordinary paper books. more quality

I rarely buy paper books these days. I think paper book is slowly becoming obsolete. I have preference for soft copies because a single device can accommodate all the books I need, thereby taking away the problem of having too much paper load around me.

Ebooks! But the texture of physical book is required to get the good feeling perhaps both, i Mean having a physical copy and ebook

e-books are more suitable for filling in important notes, as they are easier to maintain than regular paper books.

e-books are better to fill important notes, whereas ordinary paper books are widely used for students.

e-books are more awake than ordinary books.

E-books are the way of the future, but you can't beat kicking back with a paperback novel in bed to read.

When the world is turned to chaos and there is nothing to power electronics. I'll be glad to have paper books of any kind.

I prefer paper books because i don't really get the feeling of books untill it is written on paper.

E-books is much better than paper books. Because e-books can be back up in a place like Dropbox , one drive and so on while paper books can only be kept in a book store. When a case of fire accident the e-books will be much more be in a safe place than paper books.

i liked the old fashion way to read from paper book.

Paper books feel nice and everything and oh god, the smell when they are new and the smell when they are old is amazing, but e-books are more eco friendly and easier to get so we better start adopting e-books over regular books.

Prefer digital copy

Paper book is really fantastic to read. Paper book has good effect on reader. I like paper book to read.

No E-books are more comfy. You can carry whole library in your phone

I like paper books but it's been so long since I read any book. I always read stuff online but not ebooks. 😅😅😅

It's more about personal tastes. I personally prefer paper books as I can't get focused when I read E-books and my eyes don't get tired. Also it's more romantic, some people (including me) enjoy the smell of a new book, and also you can read them anywhere without the need of electricity or if you live in a third world country without the fear of being robbed. Also you can give them as a gift to that special person :) it's hard to substitute the paper books!

Paper books! My eyes hurt after reading e-books for 5 minutes :(.

I prefer ebooks myself, most of the reading I do is textbooks and being able to quickly search for a word or phrase can save a lot of time.

Id still go for paper books. It may be traditional but I think its still effective, you dont need to charge anything and yet you can read as much as you want.

We can visualise this form two different perspective

  1. Most of the people find paperback better as it gives them a more sense of reading than a kindle ebook.

  2. If you are more of a reader and read lost of books, then from environmental sense, a kindle is better, I too believe that we should stop being selfish and should contribute whatever is in our capability to help the environment.

Disclaimer: These are solely my opinions, and doesn't depict any other person's thoughts or opinion. Thanks

Ebooks are better because we are in an advanced age.

I think an e-book is perfect, you can take it everywhere on the phone and read it anywhere.

Oh the joy of reading a REAL book! Reading with the Kindle just doesn't feel the same but then nowadays I prefer it because it's really space saving and I can carry it wherever I go. Sadly I do think the paper books will vanish sometime in the future as the younger generations are "digital natives" - they don't mind missing the pleasure of holding a paper book in their hands.

Paper books mean paper cuts

Ebooks are more environmentally friendly

Ebooks are cheaper and more convenient to carry around

E Books are better :) you don’t have to carry so much books around, when you want to read in the vacation. But watch out for the battery.

Focus: Ebooks are designed to distract you with links and “helps.” Books are designed for focus.

This is intended as satire. David Ferrer is not old, cynical, technophobic or curmudgeonly. He’s actually a pretty pleasant guy who enjoys many modern conveniences.

  ·  3년 전

Zombie Apocalypse Test: When the zombie apocalypse knocks out the electricity in town and the internet is down, your books will still work just fine. You might even be able to fight off a zombie or two by swinging a sizable Oxford Dictionary.

Book Smell: No one raves about the ebook smell like they do about the “old book smell.”

Feel Your Progress: You can physically feel your progress through a book as the upcoming pages get fewer and fewer. Not so with ebooks.

Gravitas: The physical weight of the book imparts a sense of gravitas.

In reading a book you are dealing with a real thing and not just digital wind, so it feels like something to take more seriously, respect more, and value greater than an ebook.

Marginalia: You can write in the margins of books, but not with ebooks. Ebooks won’t let you write in different sizes at the same time, use cursive, or draw lines from one sentence to a note. Some of them won’t let you write anything at all. I like to write insults and complaints in my margins.

Patience: Ebooks are designed for speed with skimming, scrolling, and linking.

But physical books are designed for slow processing, with larger pages, no links, and concentrated singular lines of thought.

I think that day-to-day paper books are the second option due to the ease of searching for content in electronic books. And I say that they will be in second option because in the moment that we do not have light to light our pcs, and we do not have megaphones or data for our telephones, there is where we will look for the first generation of teaching "The Books on paper"

The effect is slowness and patience instead of frenetic haste.

Bookmarking:Ebooks have “bookmarks” but it’s not the same and it doesn’t work as well as real books. With real books, you can hold multiple places at once and flip back and forth between them in split seconds without losing your original place.

Moreover, since the text never changes locations in a real book, it’s easier to find your place in the book.

Used Books: real books have a used-book market, which means you have access to tons of cheap books. This also leads to endless recycling of old books for new people and new shelves.

Used Book Shops: The iconic used-book shop is an important piece of academic noir that calls all participants to be thoughtful, conversant, and intelligent.

If used book shops are an endangered species, ebooks are like poachers.

  ·  3년 전

Decoration:Books aren’t just for reading, they also decorate your walls and nightstands (and stairs, and floors, and counters, and rafters, and chimneys, etc.). Even as decoration, books breathe an air of intelligence into the room—unless it’s the Twilight series.

Eye-Strain: Ebooks are hard on the eyes, at least when read from tablets, phones, or conventional computer screens. Regular books don’t cause the eye-strain that ebooks do. Some E-Readers have “low light” and “no glare” screens.

That’s good, but even these are hard to read in direct sunlight. With regular books, that’s not a problem.

Multiple Books: If you are in the thick of a research paper and you need to have 5 different books open at once, physical books afford that option. But your E-Reader or you phone does not.

On a tablet or computer screen, you can keep separate “tabs” for different books, provided they are all on different sites. But the more tabs you have open, the slower your computer will run, and the more likely it will crash.

Physical books don’t have a hard drive, so you can “tab” as many locations as you want (i.e., dog-ear the corner), and they will never crash.

Haptic/Tactile Pleasure: Books have a feel to them, with texture, thickness, and weight. There’s more interactivity with the physicality of the book than there is with an E-Reader.

Haptic/Tactile Pleasure: Books have a feel to them, with texture, thickness, and weight. There’s more interactivity with the physicality of the book than there is with an E-Reader. Many people find the “feel” of books more satisfying and nostalgic than with ebooks (see, Baron, Words On Screen, pg. 142-7). Compared to the substantial tactile experience of books, a thin little E-Reader feels like a toy.

  ·  3년 전

Deep Reading: Perhaps the most glaring singular advantage of books is their fitness for deep reading. Nicholas Carr’s bestseller The Shallows (2011) centers on this point; deep reading just doesn’t work with social media, ebooks, or most anything online.

Ebooks permit too many distractions, use smaller pages, and reduce physical interactivity, making it hard if not impossible for regular readers to engage in deep reading—that is, focused, higher critical analysis for hours at a time.

Emotional Connection: Related to the deep reading, the physicality of books invites a physical person-to-object relation, lending more “realness” to the characters and stories. The effect is that books enable emotional connectivity where ebooks do not.

A very nice contest for today talks about my book choosing paper books because it's cheap and simple

Naomic Baron summarizes this point: “I wonder if anyone has ever cried reading an ebook?

Storage: Moving from a serious note to a trivial note, physical books are great storage for old letters, receipts, notes, lists, pressed flowers, leaves, or similar thin things. A well-worn book can be veritable storehouse of old memories.

Stationary Text: Books keep the text stationary; the paragraph on page seven is always on page seven; it will not shift to page eight or page six when you turn your phone sideways.

Paper books are better than E-Books, it's more comfortable and traditional, I'm like an old men

Ebooks ruin this verbal stability by moving the text all around depending on the orientation of the phone, keyword searches, font-size, and which device you are reading it from. D.T. Max expresses this concern with keen insight, asking, “What is a culture if the information that forms it never stands still

  ·  3년 전

Spatial Memory: The stationary text is an advantage in its own right, but it has the added benefit of serving spatial memory. A great deal of our memory and comprehension in reading involves visual-spatial memory.

We can find quotes, or remember lines, or retrace a course of thought on the basis of where those words were on the page. Location in a text can help us remember things about the text, but it won’t help you remember where you put your glasses.

Batteries Not Included: Books work just fine without batteries.

No Charger Needed: Books don’t need a charger, a plug, or an outlet.

They are not, actually. Ebooks are not better than paper books either. Both have their own advantages and none of them are superior enough to defeat the other.

Paper book is better for you if you are a collector or an academic. Well, students often have to quote the exact paragraph sentence, on a particular page and the collectors may covet the autograph editions. You cannot achieve these when buying ebooks since the font size can be altered thus also altered the page number, nor we have the ability to autograph an eBook.

If you read for fun, like me, it shouldn't be a problem. I am not a collector either so, ebook is more suitable for me.

No Wi-Fi Needed: Books work fine without a WiFi password, and no one in a foreign country can hack your book and steal whatever you wrote in your book. They’d have to steal the book, and that’s just not that likely.

No Phone Signal Needed: Your E-Reader may still allow you to download a book without a wifi signal, if you at least have a cell phone signal. But if you don’t have that either, well, your E-Reader will disappoint you worse than a Veggie-burger.

book will not disappoint. He’s like a good hunting dog. He will be just fine, curled up with you, in a log cabin isolated from the rest of civilization. #heaventome

  ·  3년 전

Off the Grid: Combining the last three points, books are perfectly suited to keep you off the grid. You may not appreciate this point now, but when Big Brother is reading your emails, and tracking your phone, and monitoring your social media

and just generally creeps you out, you’ll be glad that you can turn all that off and have a little privacy, a comfortable chair, a pot of coffee, and a good book that no one else is monitoring.

Theft Protection: Most books aren’t interesting to thieves. You can leave your book at your table and go pick up your coffee from the counter, and no one will snatch it like they would with a laptop, tablet, or phone. Fancy electronics are a liability.

Your copy of 50 Shades of Gross has no street-value whatsoever. No one will steal it. Trust me.

Unique Experience: Each book you read is a new physical experience while ebooks are all just new ways to experience the same old cell-phone (or E-Reader, or tablet)

Pagination: This is a real pet peeve of mine. Have you ever tried to cite a page from an ebook? Me too! Did it work? Me neither! Ebooks don’t care if you are writing a book, an article, or a research paper that’s due tomorrow morning at 8am.

Most of the ebooks I’ve encountered break the book into “percentage completed” or they paginate the screens as if that helps any. You simply cannot reliably cite page numbers from ebooks, so they are effectively useless for academic citations.

Beach Reading: Just try to have a nice long reading session, with your ebook, from a lounge chair on a sunny beach. Go ahead. I dare you. Good luck with that. #booksarebetter

I will prefer ebook because you can store a lot of ebook and each of them has many page than a book

Shame Reading: Even life-long readers can slack off and don’t finish the books they should finish, or read the books they’d like to. This is a matter of personal character, and a shelf full of books can help. Physical books “shame you from the shelves.”

I will prefer ebook because you can store a lot of ebook and each of them has many page than a book

They remind you of the promissory notes you wrote to yourself when you said, “I really need to read that book someday.” Well, if today isn’t someday, then someday never comes.

I will prefer ebook because you can store a lot of ebook and each of them has many page than a book

I will prefer ebook because you can store a lot of ebook and each of them has many page than a book

Serendipitous Reading: There is a special book-lover’s delight in stumbling across a gem in a stack of books, or on the shelf. Used bookstores can have some real finds you’d never encounter online. Physical shelved books enable serendipitous reading.

Meanwhile, ebooks are listed on sites organized by impersonal algorithms and semantically obtuse keywording programs. The effect is that you end up with books similarly titled and keyworded to the other books you’ve read. But you will miss those books with unusual titles, or those which haven’t been keyworded, or those which otherwise defy the algorithm metrics.

Essentially, you have a pseudo-smart computer program presenting you book recommendations instead of letting you truly see for yourself the bookstore or library of randomized titles that might strike your fancy.

  ·  3년 전

Personalization: Books can be personalized in a way that ebooks cannot. You can draw pictures, add book-covers, create flip-books in the bottom corner, or scrawl XOXOXO and arrow-hearts around the author’s picture. You can’t do this with ebooks.

Ownership: Maybe you didn’t realize this, but you never really own an ebook. You are only renting them permanently. A digital library owns the book, doesn’t charge late fees, and then reclaims it whenever you die (or whenever you forget the password on your device).

If you transition to a new device, or a new account, you are liable to lose some of the books you purchased because they aren’t transferrable to that format, or to that brand, or to that device. With physical books, you have real genuine ownership to go along with your personalization. If you wrote along the side of the book, “

David Hasselhoff is a god among men,” your book will stand out as uniquely yours compared to every other book in the world.

Well, I prefer the e-books, I can easily have it to myself at any point in time. However, paper books can be interesting to read having it handy, and they will still be around forever.

Side Writing: You can write on the side of the book. But you can’t write on the side of an ebook–that concept doesn’t even make sense. You can write on an E-Reader—that’s a physical object–but ebooks don’t even have “sides.

They are literally two dimensional; the pages don’t take up space, so an ebook has no “side” on which to write anything about Hasselhoff even if you wanted to.

Vertical Writing: As I was researching for this very list, I felt the urge to turn the book sideways and write vertically on the back page. Once I turned that corner, somehow, I was able to unlock another level of creativity and write thirteen more points on the list. Take that ebooks!

No software update: You will never have to download an update to your book. When you open it up, the text is there to read. It’s not hidden behind some screen saying “Update Now or you’ll never see your precious little story again.”

Reduces Multitasking: Most everything digital cultivates short-attention spans and multi-tasking distraction. On the average E-Reader or ebook app on your phone, there are scroll-down lists, alerts, and call-outs which are designed to make you look at something else. Now distraction is a problem and we mentioned that already. But some of you may think you’re good at doing a bunch of things at once so you excuse these distractions under the banner of multitasking.

  ·  3년 전

According to studies at the University of Utah, only about 2.5% of people can multitask without signficant loss in quality (cited in Baron, 180). That means for 97.5% of people, they are doing several things poorly at the same time. They aren’t really “multitasking.” The multitude of tasks are shallowed and weakened by one’s attempt to do all of them at once.

Your book reading works the same way; it’s less-engaged and more trivial when you submit it to the distracting whims of your cell phone, even if you think you are “multitasking.” This is one more way that books are better in print than on screen.

Low Risk: We mentioned one liability above—theft. But books are also low risk in other ways. Typical new books cost maybe $5-20 dollars. An E-Reader or cell-phone allows you to store up hundreds or even thousands of dollars worth of books, games, and apps. What happens if you drop it on the street? With a physical book, you just pick it back up again. You brush the scuff off, and move on with life.

With your $300 E-Reader, your $800 cell phone, or your $1,000 tablet–if you drop it hard on the street, the next reasonable thing to do is scream bloody murder then cry like a baby. Life is over. The day is done. That wouldn’t have happened if you were just carrying a book instead.

Addiction-free: Rarely do people get addicted to physical books. Meanwhile, digital addiction is like cholera for moderns. It’s the most pervasive and growing epidemic of our day. If you don’t want to be another statistic, you may want to use a book for your next reading binge.

Reduces Power-Browsing: Many people have embraced the internet age by adapting their reading habits for the absolute glut of information pouring in every day. One adaptation is “power-browsing.” It’s actual reading, but works like skimming in that it’s a fast-paced and far-reaching form of browsing. Power-browsing is fine for what it is, but it’s the polar opposite of deep reading. If deep reading is an inch wide and a mile deep, power browsing is a mile wide and an inch deep. Book reading caters to deep reading while internet surfing, and E-Reading tend towards power-browsing.

Mental-Mapping: Books are three dimensional physical objects with length, width, height, weight, texture, and smell. They carry information in a physical way, enabling you, the reader, to create a mental map of their stories and ideas. Our minds gravitate towards physical illustrations, mnemonic devices, and memory cues when we try to formulate a comprehensive understanding of something.

Books work well for this since they have all the same verbal cues to aid your memory and understanding, but they also have physical cues to help you too. E-Readers don’t work as well for mental mapping because there are fewer tangible and stationary qualities to grasp at in organizing your mental map. The result is that books allow you to follow the whole course of an argument, like you are tracing the path on a map. Meanwhile, ebooks break the text into searchable snippets that don’t hang together as a whole text.

Memorization: Related to mental mapping, the fact that book texts are stationary allows your memory to seize upon that object permanence and remember lines, ideas, names, and dates with great ease. They have a reliable physical location on a given page. That location will not change in the book. When you want to seriously study a book, and remember key ideas, quotes, and data, you are far better served with a book than an ebook.

i prefer paper to e-books. ebooks prsent the opportunity to be easily distracted by other stuff on your device

whichever comes my way, i read

There are a lot more difference between reading from E-book and paper book. Feelings is different. A paper book get a lot more attention than a E-BOOK. Its hard to read E-BOOK full night but you can read the same book of paper version full day and night. @bunnypuncher

Are Paper Books Better Than E-Books?

Do you read you books online via Amazon, Kindle, Nook, PDF, etc?

Not online, but ff-lines on such devices

Or do you like to curl up with a paperback novel and read the old fasion way?

No more

Are paper books on thw way our or will they be around forever?

I think they will be around forever in the form of coffee table books.

Yes and no. Books in an interesting format, type of paper or embossed covers are physically beautiful to hold. Ebooks allow a larger population of writers, reduce costs and prevent back pain while moving.

all books are good whether electronic or physical, reading is what matters

for me the main fixed paper book, many advantages of paper books on E-Book comparison. One of the most important, we can donate to others and also the children and grandchildren. Another advantage of paper books, eyes do not get tired, more focused in reading and if @bunnypuncher write a book can be directly confirm in order to sign @bunnypuncher :)

Hello all, and good luck

I believe that the tangibility of actual books adds to the reading or learning experience and that e-books simply can not compare to that.

I like paper books, but no, It’s not better.

I'll have me an old fashioned paperback anyday. Dunno if it's better , but I tend to get uninterested reading e-books

  ·  3년 전

hy i am new trying to good luck my self

I prefer paper book , we are about loose eyesight by watching this mobiles and computers.

YES, physical books are way better, you can feel it and it's more comfortable

I read books online because it is more convenient to read anywhere I go. I am a busy mother so I don’t have much time and means to read a paper book faster than what I can do with ebook.

Paper has a great future!

I don't know if I'm very traditional, but in my opinion physical books can't be replaced by e-books. I always try to keep my children away from electronic devices because, as is well known, their overuse is harmful to health, so the less electronic things we use the better. We have a habit of reading physical books. And I particularly enjoy reading a physical book more than an electronic one.

There is something about having paper copy in your hands.
But, you can carry 'few' more e-books around than paper, that is true :-)

If you read a lot, paper print is definitely a drag while it is much easier with e-books to search/bookmark/highlight etc. and they are convenient to store and reach.

E book contribuye al ambiente al no usar el papel, pero por tradición siempre existirá el libro impreso ya que no depende de un sistema que pudiese desaparacer por problemas tecnicos

A real books battery never dies.

Books are a beautiful tradition, so for many it is important to keep them to read them over and over again.
Ebooks have been a great alternative to eliminate the use of paper and in a way contributes to the environment, but believe it or not yet there are many people who do not have access to the Internet, and Popr to the E book.

I prefeer paper book, for me are better

Good post,
Broadly speaking, many paper books use it because they can not buy books from other brands

It depends, but overall I would say ebook is more preferable.

Many who use books from paper but modern diera today many who forget it

Paper books tend to be more easily torn or damaged but depend on how well the wearer is wearing

If we can keep our books it will last longer whether it is a paper book or not

The book is like science naturally we should be able to keep it good

All the books are good but it depends on how you look after them

I think it's the same as a paper book with an E-book because the two books are useful

Very good for this contest
The book is very useful for everyone, books from paper or even E-books are needed for human science

I like my paper books, it allows me more comfort at the time of reading, to highlight something I like, I think the view gets tired less, but I have also read online and one adapts, but preferably I choose my books paper.

As i don't read real books often, but have a kindle for light usage.. still prefer books due to the picking it up to the weight and feel, and page turning.

Regardless of the form of clues or cues in the pages of a book, whatever the sensation that it feels from reading a book, all those little things can help you to put together something big together.

With the advance of phones, tablets, and ereaders, ebooks have become a popular reading standard. Still, there's something about the feel of an old-fashioned paper book.

In this sophisticated era we can read just by downloading the ebook on the phone or save and also we can bring it in flash

The printed book has its own character

We can read it with just one hand, this makes it easier for us to read, because sometimes we have little trouble holding a thick book of regular size.

Books are always printed with hard cover or cover conditions and smoother paper. But recently the reader has been introduced to a different way ie is via E-book.

Although the book is heavier than the e-Book, one of the classic things that makes the physical book superior is that the book does not require any form of power to function.

Books are not only visually visible, but can be seen physically.

An E-book is basically a book that is normally published in digital form that has a combination of easily readable text and images on a computer or electronic device.

Personally, I do not agree if the book position is replaced by an e-book,

The printed book has a nice and gentle page of paper touched, so reading the book itself becomes a physical pleasure.

Some of the ebook applications also provide special settings for reading at night so our eyes are not too glare when looking at the screen. It's actually not good for health but on the other hand it also helps us.

With the ebook we can save energy and time to be more efficient, because sometimes we will feel hard and tired when having to bring textbooks that many and thick, with this ebook we no longer need trouble bringing a lot of books everywhere,

Lived a comment

We can download the book with a cheap price compared to buying a book that may be necessary with a special order, not to mention including the cost of postage.

For fonts in the ebook we can set them up, this makes it easier for us if we feel less comfortable with fonts that are too small, or maybe too big for us. So we can be more comfortable when reading it.

After escaping from a tiring day, many people fill their time by reading good books.

Printed books are better for your health.

Are Paper Books Better Than E-Books?

With the ebook, we can more quickly and easily get the material or readings we want. We do not have to bother going to a bookstore if we find it difficult to find time to get there, we do not need to be exhausted looking for books around the bookstore, and also do not have to wait in line for payment.

many reasons why physical books are better than e-Books.

Nothing is more exciting than telling a book that has an interesting story to your friends and at the same time suggests reading it, and lending it the book, so that an intimate friendship will be created by the book itself.

reading an e-book before bed can reduce the production of an important hormone in sleep known as melatonin. As a result, many people take longer to fall asleep, experience deep or restful sleep and are more tired in the morning.

Do you agree the Ebook is better than the book?

The use of e-book itself is still doubtful because of its accessibility will be different from the e-book that appears in the next 10 years. Because the existing e-book, not necessarily can be read with e-book program in the future.

Basically ebooks and regular books have the same functions and benefits, it's just how the different uses.

The printed book you have, will remain yours for the rest of your life.

Reading does have many benefits. Besides can add insight, also reproduce vocabulary, sharpen memory, improve thinking analysis and so on

The Kindle E-book program (an e-book seller program commonly used by European and North American communities) does not convey accurate information, after people who buy and read books on Kindle,

Ebook can interfere with health

Well, I finally got one. I had been wanting a Kindle for all those ridiculous 18 hour bus rides that become oh-so-inevitable on any sort of extended trip, because I have neither the physical capaci…😊

In addition to easy to get ebook also includes cheap.

Yes paper books are better than E-book. This is because paper books can serve us for a very long time unlike the E-book, once technology and electricity is short we'll be unable to use them. Thanks

We can still read in the dark, this is a plus of ebook.

I rather reading paper books since reading e-book makes my eyes tired.

The paper books are the best

It is not good to read while lying down but sometimes we also feel exhausted, so that makes us want to read while lying or in a sloping position at least for a while only, with the ebook we can read comfortably.

in a book, we can easily find it using the find feature.

Hy dear

I will vote you in return

Paperbook is better then E-book.
There is a connection of paperbook with our mind.
When we are reading on paperbook.

But E-book is just an electronic devices, i know this is digital devic

Old is Gold for me😊

E-books Are advantages becoz of it hav no weight, no space, can be carry everywhere with us...but i prefers hard books for long-term reading e-books effects on our eyes and interest of reading can only came from watching books, its cover etc.Hard books content easily stuck permanently in our mind.So hard books are best to read.

Ebook plays a role for us and nature because with the ebook we become more efficient use of paper produced from the tree, we no longer need to waste paper which it can help in reducing the felling of trees in the world.

Reading a book can relax your mind and help you sleep better

I agree that ebook is better than book.

Paper book. I love them , i think paper books will be with us for a long time.

Although in the digital age where reading does not need to buy physical books, the essence of a print book does not seem to be able to be countered by e-Book and e-Reader.

As we know in this modern era, the technology is growing more rapidly where with the technology certainly can simplify our work. And one of them in the world of learning is also there are technologies that can facilitate us as a reader called the "Ebook", with this Ebook can facilitate us to learn.

Ebook more practical and portable

I personally more agree the use of E-book because of what E-book how to use more Efficient and automatic more cost-saving, uninterrupted activities and responsibilities remain running..

Indeed the advantages of E-book are very clear and are driven by readers who want to try new technology.

Ebook is still an e-book.

E-book can reduce reading comprehension

E-book is very easy to get that is downloaded from the internet site and can save the cost of gasoline to go ketoko the nearest book or online message can also save money delivery.

With e-book everything becomes more practical

Printed books give many advantages over e-books

Paper book is the winner. I love flipping through the pages of a book ... no ebook will ever beat it.

Book endurance is easy to tear, and yellow pages are easy, and a drop of water is enough to make the book wrinkle. While E-book simply by storing on storage devices such as computers or electronic devices.

People tend to be more enthusiastic and easier to understand than what they read in print or books rather than e-books

Those are best in their place and both should be there always.

We also have to open the eyes to the technology because without being denied, e-Book is also a lot of useful in our activities.

Are Paper Books Better Than E-Books?

The biggest difference I see between paper books and e-books is a matter of quality. Being self-published e-books, and exempt from control of a publishing house, many authors only publish garbage. A year ago I bought a book on Amazon that supposedly had almost 400 pages but in reality it did not reach 40, on each page there was only written a sentence of 3 to 4 lines. That for me is a scam, because you cheat your audience by offering something that you do not give.

Ebooks very convenient for me

Ebooks don't take physical space that's why I prefer them

I like e-books

Paper books collect dust

I read ebooks online

I prefer ebooks

I work in a library and I believe that paper books are used to maintain collections and are now digitized so that books can be kept as a memory.
I particularly love to read my novels in bed.

i will try it again :D

E-books can cause interruptions while reading

Nothing beats a real book, the joy you get from flipping the pages and smelling the book. However, sometimes e-books are more convenient to bring along with us wherever we go.

yes my opinion is that paper books are better because its saves your mobile or laptops battery :D And also it gives Less stains to our eyes.

Books can not possibly hurt your feelings
A book can not possibly hurt your feelings, well if you see the timeline on twitter or stalking your twitter partner, it could be even you who hurt hehehehehe

Your partner may be able to make you fantasize about many things, but not the book. The book will bring you closer to the truth that adds to your ability to better understand the world. A good book can help you to be a good person.

If you are a book lover, surely you will never feel lonely, because the book offers a variety of entertainment that can be enjoyed in every time. From the start of drama, fiction, or even a thrilling adventure

Giving you knowledge
By reading, you will add to your knowledge and knowledge. Insights become widespread, you also become smart. Conversely, not all boyfriends can add to your insight. Knowledge of people is different. If you get a girlfriend whose insights are not welded, your chatter will also be of no value.

If fun toy your smartphone, can - can baterei your smartphone runs out. Well if it is busy deh looking for electric plugs or alternative power source such as power bank. Well, by reading the book, guaranteed you do not need a power bank let alone busy nyari electrical plugs.

Actually it could also hell if you want to change partner. But it's not possible. Here the same bedannya book, because if you get bored with a book, you just look for a new one, as long as the price fits and matches.
