Yesterday we went to visit the Fisherman's Bastion in Budapest and when we approached the King St. Stephen statue, I noticed this unexpected 'guest'. He was waiting patiently until his falconer took him on his hand to move him to the girl sitting in the chair to take a picture.
The animal looked healthy and I believe the owner was taking good care of it. Of course the guy was there to make some money while tourists took pictures of themselves in that chair with the falcon on their hand. The Fisherman's bastion has a fairy tale feel to it, and seeing this falcon and his owner I had the feeling I was about to enter the Fata Morgana in the Efteling in Holland. The Dutch will understand what I'm talking about.
