Many times when we enter our frequently used website and it takes a while to load, we usually blame the internet connection and our internet provider.
But the truth is that these are not usually the main causes of the time it takes to load the pages, if we can think about it, we would realize that the servers of the main pages we frequent are at a great distance (usually several countries away), even though the data moves at an impressive speed, every time we try to access a web page, our device sends a request to the server where the web page we are trying to access is hosted, these servers can be thousands of kilometers away and due to the long distance we can experience what we call latency (temporary delay within a network).
CDN networks were developed to distribute Internet content with greater availability and performance, it uses special servers that are geographically distributed, CDN networks can increase the speed of content distribution to multiple locations to meet all content requests from users using the nearest servers.
But with the rise and modernization of Internet content, the CDN is facing new challenges, digital requirements and the demand for streaming multimedia content now affect web page load times much more, dynamic pages use more complex logic to display more eye-catching presentations that cannot be stored in the cache, and mobile devices and devices are often far removed from the source servers.
Centralized NDCs cannot solve these problems because they cannot cover all locations to satisfy users, the best solution for this would be a decentralized network that implements a better strategy and makes users part of the solution. This is where NOIA NETWORK comes in.
What is NOIA NETWORK?
NOIA NETWORK using the next-generation P2P (peer-to-peer) protocol, blockchain technology and artificial intelligence combines thousands of computers and mobile devices to serve as points of presence (POPs) for caching all web content and delivering web content across local Internet networks worldwide.
NOIA’s aim is to become a fully self-sustained, decentralized swarm of hundreds of thousands of nodes that would optimally share their resources, governed by the rules as written in the smart contracts and operated with NOIA tokens. NOIA NETWORK has its own content delivery and distribution exchange economy that is self-contained and has unlimited scalability. The main buyers of the NOIA token will be the companies that want a better distribution of their contents, within the economy of NOIA 1 token will represent 5GB of data transfer, with the tokens the companies will be able to acquire the content distribution services in a simple and economic way without the need for the websites to change their architecture since NOIA will work as an additional layer and is designed to fit with the existing hosting and delivery services ecosystems (AWS, Google).
The NOIA token is an ERC20 based token, current CDN providers are priced at around $0.08 per GB while the NOIA token is priced at $0.01 per GB, which is 8 times cheaper than the current market average.
The NOIA token will be used to:
Node client value transfer: The NOIA token will be the way customers reward the nodes that provide content storage for them.
Network governance: monetary rewards in NOIA tokens will ensure that network participants act in the most beneficial way for the network. If the nodes act negatively they will be penalized monetarily and their reputation within the network will decline.
CSL (Content Scaling layer)
The CSL is a set of software that are interconnected, thus creating a system that aims to optimize the delivery of content through the nodes that share their bandwidth and storage, one could say that is the backbone of NOIA, the CSL is composed of two types of technologies:
P2P file sharing technology. CSL uses proprietary P2P content scaling protocol that employs relevant parts of Peer Exchange (PEX), Bittorrent, Distributed Hash Table (DHT) and Websocket wire protocols.
Artificial Intelligence (Machine Learning). CSL uses proprietary mathematical algorithms and pattern recognition to handle requests (merging requests), content caching (smart caching), fastest-route discovery, and network traffic prediction and anticipation.
CSL consists of different software and there are two methods of how CSL can be executed in NOIA:
CSL Cloud Controller Model: This is a centralized framework in NOIA which controls the other CSL systems.
CSL DAO Concept Model: This is a fully decentralized framework with a free will system of government in contrast to the other CSL systems.
- Traffic prediction (machine learning)
- Traffic anticipation (on demand scaling)
- Smart content caching
- Quality of Service (QoS) control
Because there are some technological limitations that obstruct the execution of the CSL organization in a decentralized cloud, NOIA does not launch the project in a 100% decentralized manner from the beginning in order not to run significant risks, to avoid future problems and to avoid jeopardizing the viability of NOIA, the network launches a CSL using a centralized cloud controller and thus can guarantee the security of the network.
CSL Cloud Controller (DAO Model Concept)
This is the vital element of the CSL stack, it is responsible for indoctrinating master nodes on how to best utilize storage and data delivery worker nodes more efficiently and effectively. It is also the body that authorizes the master nodes that must meet the requirements established in the governing layer.
The main responsibilities of the CSL Cloud Controller are:
- Authorization of Master Nodes
- Selection and load balancing of Master Nodes
- Content scaling commands to Master Nodes
Harmony of NOIA
The distribution of large amounts of content globally is still very expensive and sometimes inefficient, in order to best address these issues, NOIA is designed to act as an enhancement layer that can also be used in combination with other established CDN solutions, this is a very important feature as even existing CDN services can save money thanks to NOIA.
