The trading outpost.

all the colonist has return to there colony. gob is in exstase over all the help he and his village is in debt.
and scout form the gobinds has fund out where the undeads are coming form. but its a arey where the goblins dont go its forbidden it make more sens now way. gob remembers when he was a young goblin his dad was tiling story's of this place. and all its horror but they where just story's. but it sems they are real. gob has plan to block the undeads arrival. but its a risky plan. he need help form a neighbor tribe of goblins ho are not friendly. to gobs tribe or people but they are also been attacked by the undeads. so maby gob can make a peace treaty whit them, whit help from colonists..

Blacksmith: to put a gem in to a +1 weapon or armor make a ring.amulet it cost 5 silver.
to get better upgrades you need help from a colonist

  • buying 1 health potion for 4 food of any type
  • buying wood,stone,1-1 ratio
  • buying 1 wood or stone for 1 any food types.
  • selling 1 wheat for 2 meat,fish,wood or stone
  • selling 1 meat for 2 wheat,fish,wood or stone
  • selling 1 fish for 2 wheat,meat,wood or stone
  • we are buying +3 weapons for 4 wood or stone*

Gold if your workers are happy you will get 1 gold/tax a week or by doing the Gold prospector quest or by selling silver or gems to get gold. gold is used to make your colony more profitable
out in steemit. by getting steembasicincome share or extra bigger up votes.
your colony can max have 10 gold at the time.

spesial food

  • goblnd stew (+3 production to wood,stone,all food,silver,iron,herbs +1 hide workers)
  • Cloudberry pie (feed it to one worker he/she will have a +5 production one week) works on all collection
  • moose sausage (+2 damage in combat) works great combined with ale)
  • barbarian ale (+2 dam +2 hit in combat)
  • Cinnamon rolls 2 (+2 to hit +2 production one week)

NB: the worker food can stack meaning you can eat the stew and a Cloudberry pie and have a ale in the same week but if the food has + to hit it do not stack

Unfortunately this is the week we have to increase prices on our armors and weapons, up to a price of 10 silver for the crafting fee (Our exceptional craftsmanship will remain the same!)
Sadly, the reason being is that food has been limited lately, and structures, buildings, and repairs are expensive.

Good news! The barracks were officially built this week, and Maxwell is finally being promoted to a full soldier, at the rank of Chief of Security!

I myself, went out on a quest alone last week to help some other colonist assist Gob the goblin defend his homeland from an undead horde. I never thought I would be defending creatures such as goblins, but they seemed like nice folk, and the fewer undead we have roaming the lands, the better!

Nothing to brag about, but I also came back with some interesting "magic" food from the goblins camp. ~ ~ ~

Anyone interested in trading meat for either fish or wheat (1 for 1)? Due to some poor management I have allowed my food stores to run low. I am completely out of fish and wheat and the help is getting antsy, although I have a large quantity of meat and would be willing to trade up to 20 meat.

The way you made your colony post it looks like you are being selective about who you want helping you on your quest. If you are asking for help from anyone, you should let everyone know that you are requesting help from all colonists. Please clarify your intention so I can decide what to do this week.

Oh! Sorry. It was way past my bed-time when I made up my reply to say what I would be doing this week. I just couldn't wait any longer. No worries though, because the GM adjusts the difficulty to match the number of players on the map anyway, so having less help just means you will have less enemies.

I generally hate having to use another website to extend the reach of this platform. I much prefer all conversations happen in ONE place for everyone to see.

I used to think the same thing about Discord, that it was a waste of time to go to another site just to play this game.

Now I think it is kind of invaluable for gaining new info. It's like a common Tavern somewhere among the Darklands colonies. You don't have to go in, but if you do, you can make new alliances and debate the rules and discuss game contradictions, and add your own input about things too; without having to fill up space in the game with OOC comments on Steemit with unrelated or mundane questions that seem out of place.

And generally, the information/conversations usually flow quicker on Discord then posting the questions on Steemit.

But yes, all the game content like rules, trades, and quest requests that are agreed about on DIscord should also be posted on the Steemit game comments section for everyone to see.

Of course you are absolutely correct about unrelated chatter being very much like a social gathering at Discord. It's just that I don't often visit pubs in real life and I don't have the time to visit discord just to chat. I'm under a lot of pressure to get things done in the real world and need to limit my time on idle chatting. The days just are not long enough already!

I'm actually trying to get people to use the Steemit tag #Darklands on Steemit for posting related info and world-building stuff and things that aren't really a part of the game but are still related, like stories or backgrounds and stuff; that's if you want or have time.

the #tag would link everything posted under #Darklands into a "community" and make searching for things a lot easier. like rules, wikis, and older posts.

plus it could start up a small Steemit community that might gather more interest in the game for new players. ~~~

I am interested. So you're saying I already have the wizard helmet, but if I get the wizards version of the other 3 pieces, I would get the bonuses mentioned, in addition to what I already have with my helmet? If so, I am interested. What materials do you need? Do you start from an existing piece of armor, or craft from scratch?

+8 wizard chest is (16 hide, 10 silver, 2 gem) +10 silver fee
+2 wizard leggings are (8 hide, 8 silver, 1 gem) +10 silver fee
+2 wizard boots are (8 hide, 8 silver, 1 gem) +10 silver fee

If you can cover all the base materials for all 3 pieces, I will only charge (25 silver) for the total fee and make them all starting next week!

yes you get the additional bonus for the compleat set. you have to start from scratch though. I think the base materials for the pieces are hide, silver, and gem. they offer less armor protection then normal armor, but you get the spell bonuses instead.

After several weeks of working at the colony trying to buildup some resources and preparing to construct a new Iron Mine, I managed to completely mis-manage my food supply and ran out of fish and wheat. With the help of my friends I managed to bring in some fish but would still be willing to trade 10 meat for 10 more fish or wheat. After all that, it looks like we will be able to build the new Iron mine, things are looking up.
My friend @enosh had some discussion about a bandit he needs to take care of and I offered to help if he decides to do that this week.

Holy crap! I've been so busy I haven't been able to check in. I've got enough stone. Let's fix the silver mine. Put 3 workers on the farm and everyone else on the mine to fix it. Whatever stone I need to trade to ensure everyone gets the food they need this week, let's do that. The three farm workers each get a cloudberry pie.

all good, nice to see you back. sadly you r colony dont have any cloudberry pie you get it when you are on a quest helping the goblinds. to help your food problem you can go on a passive hunting quest this week. (am doing your combat)if you dont have the time. and you get the result in the next colony post. you will normally get +- meat on it. the trade whit food on the outpost is 2-1 btw.

A quiet week this week. I'll go to the blacksmith and have him put a gem in my hide boots and hide helmet. Our scientist cam research a herb cabin. The other workers can carry on with their jobs
