Snails are the common names given to members of the Gastropoda mollusc class. In a narrow sense, this term is given to those who have curled shells in the adult stage. In a broad sense, which also means "Gastropoda", includes snails and naked slugs (snails without shells, in Javanese known as resrespo). Gastropoda class ranks second most in terms of the number of species members after Insecta (insects). Habitat, shape, behavior, and snail anatomy also vary widely among its members.
One of the most recognizable characteristics of snails is to have shells. Generally, we know that the snail is a shelled animal. However, apparently not all snails have shells. In English, snails are called snails, while those who don't have shells are called slugs.
