Sate Matang is a meat stab in the form of satay in the province of Aceh. This satay is called the cooked satay because the beginning of this satay was introduced by the seller in the town of Matang Geuleumpang Duasebuah a sub-district town in Bireuen district. In the 90's the satay was popular in several major cities in Aceh, now there are lots of satay sellers in Aceh and the city of Medan, North Sumatra, who sell satay with the label "cooked satay".
The main ingredient of cooked satay is goat meat, because the price of mutton is more expensive, so often cooked satay is made using beef. The process of making and cooking cooked satay is not much different from sate in other regions in Indonesia, pieces of meat that have been cleaned and diced in small sizes. After pinning the satay stab then soak it in a spice mixture in the form of spices for a long time. Next the satay is ready to be burned in the grill.
