This is a rose variety bred by Benjamin R. Cant & Sons in England 1901.
Being in the top of Vietnam's most rare and ancient rose varieties, Sapa ancient roses are preferred by many people because the planting and care techniques are not too complicated.
The reason is called Sapa ancient rose because many years ago when the French invaded Vietnam, brought this precious rose variety and was grown in many palaces and relics on Sapa (people also have the habit of calling it French rose, but this variety was not bred in France. Gradually, the ancient times of Sapa became known, transmitted and kept until now.
Photo is an old sapa rose I'm nursing to pose for free.
