See What Others Cannot

5개월 전

In the bible we can find a story about the prophet Elisha in 2 Kings chapter 6 when the Syrian army wanted to capture him and they placed the city of Dothan, Elisha's servant was very scared, he was filled with fear at the sight of that army. However, Elisha told him not to be afraid, because there were many more in his favor.

Elisha's servant was looking at something different from what Elisha was looking at, so what was the servant looking at? Well, he was looking with his natural eyes, so he only saw what was against him and could not see beyond. He could not see that Elisha had the army of heaven and God himself on his side.

Elisha looked differently, he knew in whom he trusted, to whom he had entrusted his life, who was his God, whom he served fervently, Elisha's confidence was such that he faced that army without fear and delivered them into the hand of the king of Israel.

As the servant looked only at what his natural eyes could see he was afraid, he was discouraged, but Elisha knew that it was not in his own strength but in the strength of God, today the question we must ask ourselves is; to whom are we looking, when things seem to fall on us, to whom do we turn, where do we take refuge?

If every day you renew your faith, so that it increases, you will surely take the example of Elisha. Dare to be different, to look at what others cannot, because there is simply no heart willing to believe, let your spiritual eyes see what God has prepared for you, let them look at the one who is in your favor and not those who are against you.

You can have thousands against you, but only one who is in your favor is enough because he is the almighty, creator of heaven and earth, the true God.

When we have problems our mind becomes confused but this is where we must open our spiritual eyes and trust in the God we have believed in, look at what God wants us to look at, eyes fixed on Jesus, and believe that whatever we ask of God under his will and according to his purpose he will hear us and work in our favor.

One of the things we must ask God is to help us see those things that our natural eyes cannot see, this will undoubtedly be the way to go.
