For sin shall not have Dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Rom 6 says that sin shall not have Dominion over us, why? We are not under the law but under grace. That means that those who are under the law cannot stop commiting sin.
The law here is a reference to the Mosaic Law. The law of Moses is comprised of do(s) and don't (s) yet it could not stop man from commiting sin, it only made man aware of his sins. When a man comes under God's grace, his sins are taken away. Grace is God doing something for man.
The death of Jesus freed us from our sins Rom 6:1. Paul said shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? He said God forbid. We cannot continue to live in sin because in Christ we are dead to sin and in Christ we are lifted unto God's righteousness. you should stop living in sin and start believing that Christ has taken your place.
He took your sin so that you can live under His grace.
Hallelujah! I'm not bound by the law
Thank you Jesus.
