BIOSECURITY AT FARM LEVEL (Farm Fence & Farm Gate)
This has to be the total responsibility of farm manager under the supervision of area manager to control the biosecurity of farm and should be held responsible if any violation occurs.
Farm should be well fenced and everyone should use the controlled gate for entry, all entries should be logged and verified on weekly basis by the manager.
Farm manager / Supervisor should ensure that tyre dips are working at all the times at any cost.
Quality control / Labs should be main consultants for advising on disinfections/ dosage as well as for verifying the efficacy on quarterly basis.
QA auditors should be responsible for detailed auditing of the process to ensure that the entire mechanism is working with minimum deviations.
Division Managers should be responsible to ensure that resources are provided and the system is implemented at all farms in a uniform way.
IN FARM BIOSECURITY
Farms should have controlled areas clearly defined clean and unclean areas with physical boundaries.
Proper signage should be put up for people to follow.
Regular staff should be cleared by the farm manager on daily basis after checking and recording their personal hygiene parameters(Uniforms
Non regular staff (Veterinarians, QA Auditors etc) should have blanket clearance according to their programs.
All the out side visitors (ADC Employees) should follow the protocol of contacting the division manager
All the doors and windows should be controlled for entry of pest and other threats by ensuring that they are intact and closed when not in use.
Farm manager should be responsible for pest control in their farms. They should ensure that pest control programe is implemented at his farm, All pest activity should be logged to make an informed decision when required.
All waste materials ( Mortalities, Rubbish) generated at farm premises should properly disposed.
