I am sure that the sudden hungers comes in the evenings are not unfamiliar to you all. Me and my sister @sandu daily experience those hungers🤣🤣 When I want to eat something in the evening, I forced my mind not to do so as it make me gain much weight. But when my sister also suggested the same thing, I cannot help myself. S owe have tried many solutions together.
Yesterday also we want something to eat badly specially my sister. When she suggested the idea of making something, I wanted to make something spicy as I love them. And we browsed to get some idea to try something new and there we had an idea of this delicious recipe.
Actually I even don't know the exact name of this but this is a kind of a snack. And I hope to briefly explain you how we made them.
First I made the dough. For that I used 250g of wheat flour and half a teaspoon of salt. I added water gradually to make a tough dough. If the dough is too soft, the snack can break. After kneading it for about 5 minutes, let it rest for 15 minutes.
While I made the dough, my sister boiled the potatoes. Also she cut onions, garlic, curry leaves, ginger and green chilies. As we wanted to make this quickly, we didn't spent time to cut them into tiny pieces.
When the potatoes were boiled enough, we took them out smashed them and made a paste for our snack using potatoes, onions and etc.
After the 15 minutes, I took the dough out and flat it. Cut a large rectangle out of it and applied the paste we made on the top of it.
Then we rolled it making a cylinder put of it. Next we cut it into medium slices. Look they were so lovely.
Then it was the time to fry them. First we made a coat for the snack. We took some wheat flour and made a thick patter with it using water. After making sure there were no lumps, we added pepper, chili powder and salt to the batter. Then put a pan on fire and add some oil. When the oil is hot enough, take the snack one by one, coat them with the batter and put it to the heated oil.
When they were golden in colour, we took them out.
Then it was the time to expel our little hunger. So we ate them with a cup of tea😍
My family also liked the snack as it was so tasty. Try this if you have time. But keep in mind to not to be addicted to evening snacks.
