At The Shore, Acrylic on Paper, 2016
This was done after a photo of my pastor’s wife on the beach. I loved the sunset and just had to paint it. I love the sunset and the beach part. I’m not sure I got the scale of the figure or the shape quite right. I almost wish I had omitted her.
I do like the colors of the sunset though. Although it does look a little like an atomic bomb explosion now. Perhaps that figure is just a shadow burned into the ground.
That's the best part of art. Interpret it how you want. Even your own art is open to interpretation.
I’m posting every painting I have ever done from 2014 to the present, the good, the bad, and the ugly. With an occasional photograph or sketch thrown in just to mix things up. Check back daily to see my progression as an “artist”!
