A very common mistake we make is not washing makeup brushes. What's more: many friends have confessed to me that they have never washed the brushes they use to put on makeup. If this is your case, go ahead and break this bad habit now, unless you are willing to touch your face with brushes full of bacteria and mold.
How often should we clean the brushes? More often than you think. Makeup brushes should be washed at least once a week to prevent them from becoming incubators for bacteria. Also, mold can form if brushes are damp most of the time. Many women even find that their skin improves and suffer from fewer breakouts when they take care of the hygiene of their brushes.
When was the last time you washed your brushes? Excuses are over!
