These days, we have to find gratitude in the small things. Today, I found gratitude and diversion simply by having a garden.

It's true - this crisis makes us look at things in a new way. I think it's good we appreciate good things - I don't have a private garden but out of my front door there's a 'square' where I can sit on my own chair, read a book, drink some coffee. Almost no-one around as it's off the 'public' paths. For living in a city it's actually a pretty good deal and I'm grateful for that :-)

Thanks for this post.

thanks for this post!

Before the lockdown here in South Africa, people would hardly greet us when we were all walking dogs in the park.
But the day before the lockdown everybody greeted us and each other.
One big plus that resulted from the virus is that people started to notice each other.

You have a very good post here friend!
Blessings and take care!

:-) Yes, I think people need to be mindful of others more, so they literally look around more and acknowledging presence helps to keep distance :-)
I've heard about the lock-down from my dear friends @morkrock and @princessmewmew and it doesn't sound like an easy thing in SA.

Hope you'll stay well and healthy! Thanks for the lovely words on my post :-)

My pleasure and I know both of your friends, or should I say that they know about the Papillon charity that we run over here.

Times are difficult, especially now in the lockdown as we can't get to the people in the poor rural areas where we work.
But we have to do this hopefully in breaking up the virus and saving lives.
Only time will tell!

Blessings to you and yours and please take care!

Ps. We saw now that the world has just gone over the million mark with the infections.

I live at the central part of Auckland in appartments and serving my 4-week lockdown period. I have scheduled a regular 30 mins daily walks outside around the city centre. It is crazy to see empty streets and roads and almost no people around. I feel like the whole world came to a standstill and the time stopped! Then I see few people walking past me wearing masks and trying to maintain social distancing rule whilst looking away. And this is a sad reality. I hope such behaviour will ago away once we get over the pandemic and won't carry on in the future. No matter how much everyone is concerned or have fear we have to remain positive and love & caring human beings.
