Mama ku secara kebetulan orang melayu dan ayahnya orang Banjar dan ibunya orang melayu Johor tinggal di Langkat Sumatera Utara, pasti tidak ketinggalan dan paling gemar membuat makanan bubur sumsum saus gula merah khas melayu Medan. Dalam hal membuat cimilan atau makanan untuk berbuka puasa pasti tidak pernah ketinggalan setiap tahun untuk mengolah bubur sumsum khas dan makanan peninggalan nenek moyang tersebut.

Bubur Sumsum adalah bubur tepung
beras yang merupakan hidangan dengan cita rasa gurih dan menurut kebiasaan orang melayu biasanya pasti di sajikan pada saat bulan puasa. Cara nya sangat mudah cukup dengan membuat sendiri di rumah, karena bubur sumsum tersebut hanya terbuat dari tepung beras yang dimasak dengan santan lalu dinikmati dengan tambahan saus gula merah sehingga rasanya semakin lezat. Banyak pendapat dari kalangan orang-orang tua melayu di medan, yang mengatakan bahwa di beri nama bubur sumsum karena bubur yang memiliki bentuk dan warna seperti tulang sumsum.

Seperti biasanya yang kami lihat bahwa bubur sumsum disajikan dalam warna putih dan di atasnya di siram air gula merah yang telah dimasak. Namun selain warna dan bentuk aslinya, sekarang ini para penggemar bubur sumsum juga bisa
membuat kreasi dan inovasi bubur sumsum dengan cara menambah air daun pandan sehingga menjadi hijau atau lainnya sehingga kelihatannya lebih menarik.

Untuk hal tersebut, bagi para pecinta
yang ingin menyajikan menu takjil untuk berbuka puasa, bisa membuat
sendiri di rumah karena cara membuatnya sangat mudah, dan bahan- bahan yang di butuhkannya sangat sederhana serta mudah di dapatkan. Disini akan di berikan tip
resep cara membuat bubur sumsum
saus gula merah yang rasanya gurih dan lembut untuk makanan berbuka
puasa.

Bahan- bahan :

  • 2 ons tepung beras.
  • 1 sendok teh garam, disesuaikan
  • 100 ml santan kelapa
  • 2 lembar daun pandan

Bahan Membuat Saus Gula Merah :

  • 250 ml air mineral
  • 200 gr gula aren (gula merah)
  • 1 ruas Jahe yang sudah dibakar
  • 1 lembar daun pandan, simpulkan

Cara membuat bubur Sumsum :

  • Siapkan wajan atau wadah untuk
    membuat adonan bubur sumsum.

  • Masukkan tepung beras dan sedikit
    santan Kelapa ke dalam wadah, lalu
    aduk pelan-pelan secara merata.
    Dan sisihkan.

  • lalu rebus sisa santan kelapa yang
    tersisa dan tambahkan garam serta
    daun pandan, jahe, lantas aduk
    sampai merata dan masak sampai
    santan kelapanya mendidih.

  • Setelah itu, tuangkan larutan tepung
    beras yang sudah di buat tadi
    dengan perlahan-lahan sambil juga
    di aduk-aduk secara merata sampai
    meletup-letup, jangan lupa di aduk
    terus.

  • Masaklah bubur sumsum sampai
    matang dan jika sudah matang, lalu
    angkat serta jangan lupa buang
    daun pandannya.

Cara mempersiapkan Saus Gula Merahnya.

  • Persiapkan panci kecil untuk
    membuat saus gula merah.
  • Masukan semua bahan untuk
    membuat saus kedalam panci.
  • Hidupkan api kecil, lalu masak
    semua bahan-bahan sampai
    gulanya larut dan mengental.
  • Setelah itu, lalu angkat dan diamkan
    sesaat sampai sausnya dingin dan
    saringkan.

Cara menyajikan bubur sumsumnya

  • Bubur sumsum yang telah dipersiap
    kan tersebut, lalu masukkan
    kedalam mangkuk.
  • Setelah itu, siramlah dengan saus
    gula merah yang di persiapkan.
  • Bubur sumsum saus gula merah
    sudah siap di hidangkan.

Dalam membuat bubur sumsum saus gula merah ada beberapa hal yang perlu di perhatikan untuk memperoleh hasil yang maksimal
yaitu, harus menggunakan santan kelapa yang masih segar dan murni
dari buah kelapa asli agar bubur memiliki cita rasa yang lebih gurih dan enak. Disamping itu dalam membuat bubur harus diaduk-aduk terus sampai buburnya meletup - letup dan matang betul sehingga
aroma dan rasanya tidak seperti tepung mentah.
