When you are being attacked, you will not remember all those techniques and you do not have the time to think and remember the techniques. You have to do it instantly. When you spend enough time on your training, it becomes like your second nature. You can make your move fast and just respond to the situation as a defense.

You can wear safety equipment while sparring with your partner. When you train like this with your training partner, you will understand more how to defend yourself against punch in real life. You see the punch coming, you can defend yourself fast and counter-attack.
