My Town 10 Pics Geylang Serai Raya joy in the air, Singapore
Today I wanna introduce dear friends here the festive atmosphere in Geylang Serai, the Malay Culture hub in Singapore. As you know , in count down 1 month time, the Muslim Malay community will celebrate the Hari Raya. So there are many lighting decoration along the main road there.
The main arc entrance of the Geylang Serai Lighting Street. This will be entry point of many as it next to the MRT station Paya Lebar.
Another main road that is decorated with lighting is the Geylang Road. Here I share the evening view first.
Wisma Geylang Serai is the new building of Community Center, as it's located in the hub of Malay Heritage Center. Its internal design is full of Malay Culture. It really bring me the atmosphere as in Malaysia.

This Malay Food Restaurant Al-Azhar, looks some sort of Malay Food Paradise. Many diners were there and they are sitting near the road side, Really feel like in Malaysia Mamak Stall !

Geylang Serai Market - One stop for both grocery and Malay Food as well. The level 2 food court are almost all run by Malay food hawkers, many many nice food but mostly are operating in the morning to lunch hour. very limited food choice during dinner time.

Joo Chiat Complex is also a must not miss stop for Malay cultural stuffs like the carpets, custom made dressing etc.

The Geylang Road Arc for Hari Raya. The arc is look much nicer during night time than evening time
