Motivation, let's talk Motivation tonight. What keeps you motivated to keep going? To keep hitting your target and to keep chasing your goals.

I've noticed we have quite alot of peek athletes on @actifit some are even breaking world records. I'm amazed at how awesome some of the fitness freaks are on here.

I'd suspect the key motivation to reaching daily steps and exceeding is for actfit points. I jumped onto actifit a while ago but it is a challenging community to crack.

I'd like to provide some feedback which I'm not actually certain anyone reads but I'll give it a crack anyway.

I don't think actifit's model is working, it doesn't accurately reward content creators or people actually putting in the work. The numbers some people are hitting are out of this world.

Even the content provided half the time is not even health and fitness related. I think this hurts the brand and hurts what the dapp sets out to achieve.

I'm starting to have second thoughts about the dapp. I'll stick around a bit longer as I actually don't mind the step counter. It helps me keep track of my daily steps. Which I did most days anyway.

But I think there needs to be a better strategy involved in rewarding actual athletes and people who train. As someone who has competed in marathons, raced against others, spent over a decade training it is a little deterring to see the fake reports generated.

The only person you cheat by doing this is the dapp, the community and most of all yourself.

If I had of been on here 4 years ago when I was competing, I would have been insulted and seen this as a gimmick and a rort. You put your whole self into training to reach a goal, not only to be the best on the field but the best version of yourself.
