I hope everyone is having a great week. We are living in strange times. It's exciting and scary at the same time. Watching the price of Hive climb has been a pleasure. It's great the price is beginning to resemble the value the blockchain has to offer. I think the price should still be a lot higher than it is but we could be there soon. What's even more encouraging is the higher volumes. In March the average daily volume was about a 1/3 the market cap. That is a lot of coins changing hands and an indication the demand for Hive is strong. Hive's volume was about twice that of Steem's, which is very promising considering Steem is most likely Hive's biggest competitor.
Moving off the topic of Hive, we are faced with a scary possibility of vaccine passports/certificates. These passports could greatly restrict our freedoms if we don't have the vaccine. I have opted not to take the vaccine as I see little benefit to me as I'm in a low risk group. However, I am concerned about the possibility of adverse reactions and the mutations of the virus that vaccination could be inducing. In my post My Concerns about Covid-19 Vaccines, I raise my concerns as well present evidence and expert opinion to support these concerns. I strongly recommend that you take the time to read this post and explore the links provided in the post. Taking the vaccine could change your life forever. It is essential to be as informed as possible before deciding if you should take the vaccine or not.
My other post from this week contained a video. In the video I discussed the important topic of understanding what we want. We need to know what we want before we can decide how are going to achieve it. This may seem like an obvious statement but too often people are too caught up chasing something that they forget why they were chasing it or even if what they are chasing will actually help them achieve what they really want. It is important to regularly reassess what we want in life as our wants and our perceptions of our wants change. Hence, we may need to realign our priorities. The video is a follow up to a post I wrote in late 2019. I often like to follow up posts with videos to add clarity or new information. I recommend that you take a look at both the written post and video.
Finally, a quick update on my activity. I have nothing new or interesting to report. My activity came mostly from my walk by the lake with Mango the dog. We went to our usual section. Mango barked at a few other dogs; he normally does. The weather is improving. Spring is definitely here. It also means I'll be back out mowing the lawn again; most likely in a few hours time today.
That brings me to the end of this week's Actifit Report and Update. I wish everyone a great weekend. Try to get a little bit even if you are in lockdown. A bit of sunshine can lift the spirits.
