Lots of panic out there because of the recent vulnerability attack
Though the only way for your funds to be stolen is if an attacker has direct or network access to your files
Here is a workaround if you want to secure your Jaxx wile they are fixing the problem
1- Make sure you noted down your 12 words seed
2- Erase Jaxx Chrome extension and Desktop App - Deleting the App itself doesn't make a difference, you have to make sure to erase the Jaxx folder in user/library/application support (for Mac)
as long as those files don't exist, your jaxx wallet is safe and restorable at any point with your seed phrase
if you need to use it again before they fix the issue, you can temporarily restore it on your phone, do a transaction, then delete again.
Or if you are worried that your computer was compromised and hackers haven't removed your funds just because they haven't got around to it yet, then you can
3- Install a new version of your operating system on an external drive - encrypt it, and don't install anything downloaded from the internet other than jaxx.
4- restore your old jaxx wallet on your phone
5 - send funds to your new jaxx wallet on the new OS - (this will have a new seed unknown by any hacker that might have compromised your other system)
Though the word was initially that Jaxx was not interested in fixing the issue, I now read replies on reddit where they said they are working on it
Of course moving funds to cold storage solutions like a paper wallet or hardware wallet is ideal. But as far as I understand it, once you have deleted those files from any machine, or only have them inside an external encrypted disk image in an OS that does not connect to the internet. Then your funds are safe within Jaxx.
