Yes, it started to sprinkle for a bit anyway. Then it was all over. I kind of wanted more rain from those clouds. Well, it is May and not the middle of winter.
It is just that the triple digit high temperatures are coming in and I will take the rain and cool weather however it comes.
Yes, I really don't like the really hot weather. I always like it when the clouds are above and it is not too cold to light a fire and not too hot to want to put on the air conditioner.
It is right there in the middle where my power consumption is at its lowest. Now days I think my power bill will be a little higher as I will sometimes use my fans all night long.
It was a little windy this day. I thought I would actually take out my kite. Yeah, that sounds funny a 61 year old with a kite, but you see I was writing how in the 60's I used to buy a 10 cent kite at the grocery store. Now days I don't see 10 cent kites at the grocery store anymore and heard that kites are getting fancy with a very fancy price, like as high as a hundred dollars.
Then I notice that at the Dollar Tree store I found what was equal to a 10 cent kite. Actually it was more cheaply looking than what I could have bought for a dime in the 60's.
So what the heck it was only a dollar plus tax to fly a kite again. Well I put it together the way I did back in the 60's. Even in the 60's the directions was off and I had to modify it so it would fly the way I wanted it to.
Well, right before the rain came there was somewhat of a good breeze. Well for a little while the kite did fly. Well, the wind in May is not as good as the wind in March. But the kite flew and then I put it way.
I will save the kite for when it really gets windy then I will fly it high. Well, I guess even adults like to fly kites, look at Benjamin Franklin flying his kite in the rain for an electricity experiment. No, I won't be flying a kite in the rain, with the lightning. That is a little too much.
So the rain came and is gone. I don't even know if it was enough to water the grass, well, maybe a little bit.
Let's end with a scripture, as it is written, with Jesus speaking, And in the morning, Foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not the signs of the times? Matthew 16:3.
