So here I am to write a story. Who am I? Well, I am David777111. Yes, that is a weird name, but you see I chose that name for Youtube back in 2006. When I joined Steemit back in May 9th, 2017, I thought if I used a video of mine from Youtube the names would at least match.
Then with Hive coming along I thought I would write everyday in Hive also. Well, that is 2 blogs a day. I thought well, why not? I am retired anyway. So I have this system to write a Hive blog sometime in the morning and to write a Steemit blog sometime at night.
So here I am, I am writing about writing. My main tool is my text to speech program. You see once I write something I like to hear what I wrote with a computer voice, AT&T's Crystal16, reading my writing back to me. When I am hearing my mistakes I just keep on editing and do it over again and again. I always find something I can rewrite.
I like AT&T's Crystal16 voice cause I once worked for AT&T and I knew they invested a lot of money into that voice. So that is the only voice I use for my text to speech program.
Sometimes I have no idea what I will write about, but I just keep on keying my thoughts in sentences and before I know it I wrote something. Then I go over and over again and clean it up as I go.
The main thing is to write something and for me I just pretend I am talking to someone and talking through my fingers as I key away.
That is pretty good, as I used to be really shy. So shy I wouldn't even know how to strike a conversation in my early high school years. I was the guy that would spend a lot of time in the library when I didn't have classes.
I used to wonder, how do these guys talk to girls with such ease? Now at my last high school reunion I would have those same girls trying to talk to me. What happened? Well, I guess now days stuff like that doesn't matter to me.
I even had an old classmate ask me if I remember who she was. Well, I told her that yes I remember, she was one of the popular girls, she was actually a home coming queen. Funny how that happens.
It was a high school reunion stating that our class is now 60 years old. Yes, as a 60 year old then I find it very easy to talk to my old classmates. I am 61 years old as I write.
Well, with age, one has accumulated a lot of memories. Well, in my writings I will always go back to some memories and incorporate them into my writing. It is good to have a treasure chest of memories.
So it is good to write everyday. Well, one thing is that my writing is like my therapy. So I am here and I write and hopefully someone will want to read what I wrote.
Writing everyday will help out your brainpower. Yes, do try writing, everyday as your brainpower will increase. Well I just read an article called, 5 Benefits of Writing: Why You Should Write Every Day by Catherine Winter.
Well, one of the things she wrote about concerning writing everyday is waking up the brain. Yes, let us wake up the brain and write everyday. I try to write at least 300 words a blog, but I find when I really get into it I will write with an even bigger word count.
Oh, that is another tool that I like to use, it is called, wordcounter.net. You might want to give it a try if you want to number the words you write in a blog.
So this is my blog, about writing everyday. Thanks for dropping by.
Let's end with a scripture, as it is written, For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: Isaiah 28:10.
