Under the project Azam, the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Aviation Design Institute (AVDI) has been given the responsibility of designing a "Medium-Altitude Long-Endurance (ML.E.E.) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)" (Medium-height Long-Enduring Humane Aircraft). Aman also said that the aircraft will be built within 18 months.
Regarding the issue of reducing dependence on Pakistan's own industrial and foreign supply, the Chief of the Pak Air Force said that a large majority of the Pakistan Air Force will be taken by Pakistan within 2020.
In addition to project Azam, the air force chief said that Pakistan is supporting Pakistan in the development of space.
