Scorpions-Wind Of Change-Electric Mandolin Cover

English Version

Hello friends, today I am very happy to bring you a version of "Wind of Change", a hymn to twinning and freedom between peoples. It is a "Power ballad" written in 1990 by Klaus Meine, vocalist of the rock band Scorpions, original from Germany. Given the great success of the song, the band also recorded a Russian version of the song, with the title "Ветер Перемен" and a Spanish version called "Vientos de Cambio".

The lyrics are inspired by the political changes in Eastern Europe that occurred in the late nineties, such as the fall of the Berlin Wall. I must mention that while I was reading a little about the origin of this great song, I only thought of my country (Venezuela), the massive departure of family members, friends, and Venezuelan brothers, who literally fled every day from our own country, the one that saw us born and grow, in almost 100% of cases leaving everything behind, only carrying with it, dreams and hopes of a freedom that long ago was taken from us. But all is not lost while we still have life and faith, it is an opportunity more than the universe provides for all this to end, while we keep alive that rebellious and fighting spirit that we carry in our genes, passed by our ancestors (Simon Bolivar, Antonio Jose de Sucre, Francisco de Miranda, Jose Antonio Paez, Jose Feliz Rivas, ...), I am totally convinced that we will recover our Homeland, and we will be together again, like brothers who are, "the future is in the air / I can feel it everywhere / Blowing with the wind of change"

This is for you, Venezuela!!!
