The kangaroo is a marsupial from the family Macropodidae (macropods,meaning "large foot"). In common use the term is used to describe the largest species from this family, especially those of the genus Macropus:the red Kangaroo, antilopine Kangaroo, eastern grey Kangaroo, and western grey Kangaroo. Kangaroos are indigenous to Australia. The Australian government estimates that 34.3 million Kangaroo lived within the commercial harvest areas of Australia in 2011,up from 25.1 million one year earlier.
Kangaroo possess powerful hind legs, a long, strong tail,and small front legs. Kangaroos belong to the animals family Macropus, literally "big foot.Thanks to their large feet, Kangaroos can leap same 30 feet (9 meters) in a single bound ,and travel more than 30 miles (48 Kilometers) per hour. Kangaroo use their strong tails for balance while jumping. They are the tallest of all marsupials. Standing over 6 feet (2 meters) tall.
