Ness Lake Sunrise and Freezing Fog

9개월 전

Sunrise from a couple of mornings ago over the island with a freezing fog at Ness Lake. I was frustrated at these clouds from blocking the aurora the night before but they did somewhat redeem themselves the next morning.

This is a small part of a super high resolution multi-shot panorama. I have included a reduced resolution version of the panorama below. Best views on a computer rather than a small phone screen. British Columbia, Canada

panorama is really good. island rising out of the fog with fiery backdrop. Wow

Thanks. I posted the crop first as the panorama is not really good as a thumbnail.

Beautiful shots!

Freezing fog is one of my absolute favorite weather events, especially when it leaves hoarfrost everywhere. We actually had about 1.5" long ice crystals form on the trees as a result of freezing fog last winter, here in southern Minnesota.

Yes its a crazy phenomena; I don't have any great photos of hoarfrost. Hopefully this winter.
