I shot these photos on a very fine Spring day almost two years ago, when nectar-filled plants were swarming with life. It was on Mont-Royal, a small mountain in the center of the island of Montreal.
Notice the pollen sacs on this bee's legs! The apiarian equivalent of our reusable grocery bags.
Flavourful wild raspberries were everywhere, providing an excellent photoshoot snack. Other hikers seemed to ignore them, perhaps from being too bourgeois to eat fruits which do not come in a plastic box. Which meant more raspberries for me!
I used a Sony a330 camera and a Tamron 90mm f/2.8 macro lens.
