Hey Justin Sun

4개월 전

Disclosure I'm not fully aware of all the powers @justinsun has or doesn't have but I know this people are scared and that it's a giant mess. I'm also not really certain what side I'm on as everything is such a disaster. I'm also scared

I normally just post my art and stay pretty quiet for the most part but today I want to address something @justinsun I need you to at the very least read this or at the very least if you stop reading after this please don't shut down the chain or take it over please listen to the community.

I understand your probably way richer than I am and probably don't care as that's how I've been treated before. Look I am deeply concerned if I don't have a place to come back too or can't afford to come back too I'm going to be so lost again and uncertain of what to do in my life.

This website and blockchain has become a part of me. This community helped raise money to fix my teeth, made me friends, and helped me share my arts when normally I can't as I can't afford a gallery spot and I'm not talented enough to earn a spot. My life goal is too share my arts with the world I can no longer do that if I lose this chain. This is my home.

I also want to tell you how I got here a friend of me suggest I join steemit so I tried but I needed a cellphone something I still don't own to this day. They decided to buy me an account through another community member who had this thing set up so other community members could get started. I apologize for details being fuzzy but memory isn't exactly the best. Another community moment I seen was when @Zaxan was struggling to get food to his family because he lives in a a country that doesn't support the people properly and we banded together to ensure he can afford food for his family. I am sure there is many more stories I currently am not remembering but I know we have tons of discords and chats dedicated around being a community @minnowsuport is a big part of this. My point is in telling you these things is that Steemit was meant to be a community driven blockchain not led by a singular entity as we survive better as a community we need you to bring this back. A lot of us need this community to continue living and surviving.

I'm ending this post with the hope you bring unification to this block chain and keep it a community based entity not run by a single person. I also hope you don't change anything either.

Thank you for reading this votes are appreciated,
Artsy

goddess on a rampage ... he can only bring uni if the top 20 who has been in power doesn't give up their chokehold, the thing is a circus right now.
Who's gonna get more money ? The guys who have been holding it for four years taking yours and selling it off, or the guy who doesnt need the money, but something to pitch against EOS voice ... this is what they always wanted, lol, real money ... but it turns out what they always wanted was more plebs to control ... hm

in 4 years they havent succeeded taking the fastest chain with a coin with 0 transaction fees anywhere but to their own pockets. I seen some nice stuff happening here too, but im quite sure i didnt see any of the top 10 millionnaire witnesses send dough to Venezuela, that was guttertrash like ... and i'll speak for myself, haha ...
they couldnt hack it, my money is on Sun but as i understand its not just the elder protectorate trying to stay in control (for YOUR sake ofcourse and for teh cahin!) but its also china and america, i already read somewhere the chinese gov't is behind it so that's where i left the train (not powering down, its not worth it) just on the sidelines with a bag of popcorn ... the fundraising done here could have reached more people on classic channels, thing is everyone here was giving free money away - - -

cya-round, goddess (its three accounts down from the first one and plenty got wrecked ... by my good friends who try to stay in control, i also don't live in the states i dont have this anti-china thing ... i also dont have this pro-china thing)

i believe a guy with proven record has more chance of getting me beer or teeth money than the same old crud who's done nothing but scam the local plebs in a little puddle of mud
anyway, here i go again talking and wasting time, its just thats its been a while since i last saw you post :)

he can only bring uni if the top 20 who has been in power doesn't give up their chokehold, the thing is a circus right now.

He can also "bring" unification by talking to the witnesses and making a deal on how things are going to go from now into the future. It's very easy, just negotiate.

Who's gonna get more money ? The guys who have been holding it for four years taking yours and selling it off, or the guy who doesnt need the money, but something to pitch against EOS voice

You think he doesn't want money?
And you think that because he doesn't have immediate needs for money, he's going to be a good autocrat? The community was decentralised before, regardless of the personal quality of the original witnesses. Now Justin can do anything he wants with the chain through personal choices; he can introduce centralised censorship, delete any account from the chain, etc. Is that what you want?
I'd rather have decentralised witnesses who are in it for the money (protecting their monetary interests) than an autocrat playing doll house with a chain he doesn't appreciate.

i didnt see any of the top 10 millionnaire witnesses send dough to Venezuela

Why is it the Steem witnesses' duty to donate money to Venezuela? How is it bad that they didn't? And in case you don't know, there are a bunch of witnesses who have indeed donated money and votes to Venezuelans on the chain, to charities and to similar causes. But it's not their duty, and it can't be expected of anyone to just give away their cash because someone's hungry on the other side of the planet.

they couldnt hack it

There is no hack in decentralised decision-making.

my money is on Sun but as i understand its not just the elder protectorate trying to stay in control

Justin just centralised the whole chain under his personal command and he's not... trying to stay in control? What?

i already read somewhere the chinese gov't is behind it so that's where i left the train

Yeah, Justin learned with Jack Ma. There are no truly private companies in China. They all work in tandem with the Chinese government, which is at odds with the US.

i believe a guy with proven record has more chance of getting me beer or teeth money than the same old crud who's done nothing but scam the local plebs in a little puddle of mud

You think these witnesses scam people, and believe in conspiracy theories, and think that everyone is out to get you. Did you think for a second that maybe there's a reason why they downvote people? Toxic people, scammers, spammers, they all get downvoted. That's what's called blockchain governance and it's on purpose, it's on the design of Steem itself. If you want a safe place where you can insult and spam without repercussions, well, I guess you're barking at the wrong tree.

·
·

no , i don't think that everyone's out to get me. But after more than three years i have quite a bit of a realistic picture on how things work in the little puddle of mod, Sharon Crypto :)

i have no illusions or delusions, they have had the fastest chain with a coin that has zero transaction fees for over four years, no they either can't hack or (thats what i personally think) they don't wanna since inhere they are big fish and out there they're nothing but little sardines in the sea. Everything revolved and revolves around the one company and 10 people on top , if you don't pay the don your respect (and the money) you dont get anything off the ground, its exactly like mafia or government, only here 'de-centralized' is called 20 people tops making all the decisions, the witness voting system is crooked, there is no way of knowing how many have been voting for themselves with free or claimed accounts or bought-by-proxy, and there IS a way to see how many witness votes are 'stuck' since day one from accounts that are long stale from people who left when the price sank (their own doing btw, thats not a conspiracy theory but feel free to believe the discord propaganda) and the ones who did after HF21/22 proved its about the top 20 making the money and handing some crumbs to the plebs

i welcome the disruption

and i dont wanna get started on how four or five people get to build blacklists with steempower delegated by the same company ... if there were anything de-centralized steemcleaners wouldnt have misterdelegation, they would bring their own money to the table like any of us and they would get delegations by numbers, not one mass from one account

the puddle stinks and is stale , the price is wrecked for over two years

thats my sincere opinion, id say spreading rumours on how the chinese gov't is backing Sun to bring an insignificant place with an avg of 6000 posts a day down sounds a bit more like spreading conspiracy to me

and actually, i have had my work downvoted by one single wanker who happens to have more sp than everyone else combined upvoting it , the blacklists are just pressure groups sponsored by the protectorate

this is the reality of it , for all i know they're trying to set the man up with the liquid assets they have on exchanges i havent seen proof FOR or against that, the only thing ive seen admitted is

"billionnaire walks in , buys company" (assuming he didnt come in with a pack of machine-gun toting chinese guerillas and Ned (the big friend of Dan Eos) sold it at gunpoint? ) then suddenly all his assets are FROZEN by the people who have been in charge so he can't be in charge after buying it , even if that is exactly how the system is designed to work.

from where i stand, they havent been nice to me and Justin Sun has simply been nothing to me, but they have had 4 years to make this thing something and they didnt even bother with anything but 'bring a friend and some money to save the whale' while the other guy spends 4 BILLION on a dinner with Warren Buffet in order to convince the man that crypto isnt poison

so my case was rested before this charade started

i actually dont wanna even react to it anymore, im just gonna get a bukect of popcorn and watch the circus

so you have a nice day there (this is not my first account, i had SEVERAL wrecked by the powers that be lol)

i'm just not your easy-going always positive WE ARE SO EXCITED that everything's great ! (i betcha fiver elipowell will have chewed that post over five times by now lmao)

i dont care, it can only get better than what it was from where i stand and its long overdue that those fat fucks on top get shaken from their position and

to quote one of them

"have to get off their ass now in order to get something done"

... i don't respond except on sundays usually it just jumped in my face

all the things i say are fact, the ninjamining, the reasons dan larrimer left, the reason why Sun suddenly noticed steemit and bought it, its all true and correct

so is the fact that the same 5 or 10 people have been dictating ... a government usually consists of 100s so that means belgium is more de-centralized and that would be

i'm actually surprised he doesnt sell off his share, takes the open-source code and whips it up from scratch, its not like he couldnt pay some decent programmers, after the treatment after being lured in to BUY IT

mh hm ... the 'community' reaction is witnesses with big votes who have had groupies dangling from their dicks inciting them cos they're losing grip

i have spoken .... (and im gonna slap myself for reacting again)

I actually agree with most of what you said. From what I read in your first message, I over-estimated my comprehension of your situation. You're clearly not a nutter and are very reasonable and smart.

You do have some points to touch over, and a little over-sentimentalism as you mention (reacting too much). Yeah, getting into politics and talking back will get you slapped, that's the nature of power hierarchies and abuse.

I also have around 15 accounts. I keep a few alive, others I have as backup. You won't find me criticising anyone big on my main account. I do that in private or with an account I don't care "losing" to downvotes.

However, all of that having been said, there's one main point I want to touch and that is the legality of contractual obligations. Particularly, the contractual obligation brought by promises. Steemit Inc. made many promises about the stake and its future. If you watch the video where the witnesses talk to Justin Sun, you'll see that he was not informed of these promises by Ned, so as you say, he was baited into buying without prior knowledge (or with false one). This does not make him immune to the promises, and according to the lawyers who have spoken about the issue recently, these have strong legal standing and Justin Sun's actions can be challenged in court if he's found to be "misusing" "his" (ninjamined) funds. So, regardless of whether he bought the company with its funds, he got screwed, but that's not on the community, and any use he makes of the funds to vote and affect the governance goes against the recorded promises Steemit Inc. made to the community regarding the plans for the tokens.

It's my personal opinion that everyone has been acting out of ignorance except the witnesses who, as you say, want to stay in power.

Another point I want to touch is the assumed future for the Steem blockchain. You must have noticed the recent changes that were brought to Steem, including the birth of communities, and the integrations Steempeak has made to the basic browsability of the blockchain. They have raised the interaction capabilities quite a bit these last few months, and if Justin Sun were to collaborate and act with the main current actors, these effects could be amplified and directed toward great things. If, on the other hand, he forces the witnesses into submission by bringing in more money and somehow keeping the chain centralised for too long, it is inevitable that there will be a forked Steem. The witnesses can and will take an enormous chunk of the community. Justin won't have to develop his own chain, he'll have to stay with the few communities that remain. The Steem currency will devalue incredibly in this case. The main one will be valued higher than the second one, but together they probably won't add what the current one is valued at today.

Sadly, no one is right in this fight. It's a simple struggle for dominance. If the witnesses win, they may fork Justin out, or they may get him to work under their boot. If they lose, they will fork themselves out and break the community in half. Looking at it from this perspective, it's a lose-lose, but one loss is greater than another.

So, anyway, I'm sorry that I spoke harshly to you, and that I made assumptions about you. While I believe in free speech, community regulation is quite necessary for blockchains to survive. You are probably an innocent victim of these policies, being censored for speaking "out of turn" or not knowing how to behave in a way the "overlords" accept. On the other hand, if these policies didn't exist, the place would be worse off due to the enormous amount of spammers, scammers and others that would find a home here. Again, a lesser evil, and one that I work around by leaving anything dubious out of my account. As the saying goes, "don't shit where you eat". This account is my piggy bank, can't have it be a victim of my own arrogance.

yea everyone who downvotes is a paladin and has the divine right and absolute knowledge of what means good content for everyone on the planet, you are right, miss ...

ofcourse, my bad

plenty of people to connect to here who contribute a lot , maybe someone here you would like , a veritable example of great for the ecosystem :

https://steemit.com/@clvr

(dont wait up for the reply im getting really tired of the same old crap but i do check on sundays)

no offense, miss, ofcourse, we can't all get along and my opinion is mine, despite what is popular or gets me votes or not

it certainly wasn't pre-scribed on discord by a few witnesses

insult and spam without repercussions ....

lol ...

He can't shut down the chain, he owns steemit not the steem bockchain and there are plenty of front ends other than steemit.

·

That's the thing, the top 17 witnesses hold absolute control on the blockchain. Justin Sun used exchanges' custodial money to vote up 20 of his witnesses up to the top and made decisions that could destroy the whole ecosystem. This proves that he could do even more centralised decisions all by himself, and if he wanted, he could basically shut down any account, topic, tag, keyword or anything he wanted. The moment when Justin sun controlled the top 17 witnesses, this blockchain was literally owned by him. Luckily this is not the case anymore

But if he made an effort, he could revert the situation in an instant and our witnesses would have to create a parallel Steem blockchain (a sister fork) in order to keep running it out of Justin's control.
