The Mahamevnawa Meditation Center in Waduwawa, Polgahawela serves as the starting point for the Mahamevnawa Meditation Center as well as its current headquarters. Situated amidst a picturesque small hilltop, this monastery is like a beautiful lake filled with people to satisfy the Dhamma.
This magnificent Buddha palace was built for the Buddha as part of the Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery at Waduwawa, Polgahawela. There were more carvings created. I slowly reached Buddha's royal palace through walking.
The Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery was inaugurated by Venerable Kiribathgoda Gnanananda Thero on 14th August 1999. The Siri Gautama Damsak Maha dagoba, the Siri Gautama Bodhi Pavilion and the Siri Gautama Sambuddharaja Temple are enormous devotions to the devotees.
I entered to royal palace. Now you can see in front of the place built residence of the monks. Although the area with the Siri Gautama Buddha palace is densely populated, the huts where the monks reside are located in a quiet forest. Every day, many devotees gather to pay homage to Buddhist monks and to pay homage to the Siri Gautama Buddha's Temple.
In this Buddha face's seems very cool mode with kept hand seal. Hand seal mean do love to others (Meththa). Mr. Ranjith Karunaratne contributed the full financial assistance for the construction of the Siri Gautama Bodhi Mandapam. There are about 150 Buddhist monks living in the sanctuary.
To of the Buddha statue's made some of the gods who were protected our Buddhism. In therevada Buddhism lot of gods protected religion and doesn't allowed any enemies. I captured very close of them. You can see their faces not cruel. But they were rough with their activities.
The temple authority provided notice board how people follow some instructions to come to temple. But every instructions wrote from Sinhala language.
It's oil lamp provided to the worship process for Buddhists. It's covered from glass for keep lamp's light continuously without disturb from wind.
This sacred place has been presided over by the institutes that have spread the Buddha Dhamma of the Supreme Buddha throughout the world for the last one and a half decades. To of the dagoba kept golden and small Buddha statue. That's new way and first time I see it.
Then after I went to the location of the Bo tree. Another Buddha statue built very close to the bo tree. These Buddha face also had kindness look. Most of Buddha faces had kindness mode.
The gold plate wall provided around bo tree because these are more important property to Buddhist. The Buddha was took enlightenment under the bo tree. Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery is a worldwide Theravada Buddhist Dhamma propaganda center.

The sacred Buddha Sasana of Sri Lanka was established by the Arahant Mahinda Thero at the Mahamevnawa Uyana in Anuradhapura about two thousand three hundred years ago. The institute was named as “Mahamevnawa” with the aim of spreading the beautiful message of the Buddha Sasana. Above statue were Arhat Mihindu and king Devanampiyathissa.
Finally I again looked royal palace's outside carvings. Lion statues and pots carved down side. Top of the wall carved monks, Arhats and gods statues.
The Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery, which began with three coconut tree-lined cottages and spread through the Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery, became a renowned Buddhist shrine in Sri Lanka and internationally. The Dhamma service started from very few people and spread to hundreds of thousands of people. Once again, the youths who were interested in life began to come to Mahamevnawa, remembering the pride of the Gautama Buddha Sasana.
Asparagus is the Sinhala meaning of the word Pali. Ashram is its own Sanskrit word. The Jethavanarama monastery, Veluvanarama monastery in Dambadiva during the time the Lord Buddha was alive, can be referred to as the Jetavana monastery in Sinhala. The monastery, monastery, and monastery are the places where the virtuous people live. In all these respects the institute is called the Mahamevnawa Meditation Center. Finally I leaved from temple.
