Kuliner khas yang unik ini banyak diserbu warga dari makan siang sampai makan malam, apa lagi pada bulan puasa atau bulan Ramadhan. Kuliner Sate Matang ini yang di jual sepanjang kota Geurugok dan Kota Matang Geulumpang Dua, bahkan untuk memesan kuliner ini terpaksa menunggu antrian. Uniknya kuliner Sate Matang ini, dimakan dengan soto daging dan nasi putih. Biasanya
Sate dimakan dengan lontong seperti
Kuliner daerah lain, itulah uniknya Kuliner Sate Matang.

Pernah suatu hari, kami kedatangan
Tamu dua buah Keluarga dari Sumatera Utara, selesai shalat magrib, kami mengajak mereka untuk makan malam ke jalan baru Kota Lhokseumawe, karena di tempat tersebut banyak jenis kuliner yang dijual malam hari. Kami tawarkan mereka untuk makan sate.
Kami langsung memesan kuliner Sate Matang, namun satu keluarga lagi menghilang entah kemana, udahlah nanti pasti kembali. Singkat cerita, selesai makan malamnya. Merekapun kembali, kami tanya, rupanya mereka mencari warung nasi, katanya tidak bisa makan lontong, takut masuk angin. Kamipun tertawa semua, karena kamipun tidak ada yang makan lontong bahkan tidak ada yang jualan lontong. Karena didaerah lain makan sate identik dengan makan lontong.

Kuliner " Sate Matang" diangkat dari
dari nama kota Matang Gelumpang dua yaitu suatu kota kecamatan dalam kabupaten Bireun, Aceh, tempat asal mula pertama kali dikenal Sate Matang. Dan "Sate Matang" menggunakan bahan utama
daging Kambing atau daging Sapi. Sebelum dipanggang sate terlebih dahulu direbus agar rasa bumbu meresap. Sate Matang biasanya didampingi dengan semangkuk kuah
soto segar dan harumnya sate yang baru dibakar akan membangkitkan selera makan.

Istimewa sate matang ini adalah daging sapi atau daging kambing terlebih dahulu dipotong dadu kemudian diungkep dengan bumbu ketumbar, bawang merah, bawang putih, jahe, garam dan kunyit, setelah itu baru tusuk dan setelah itu baru dibakar. Setelah itu baru di santap dengan racikan khas bumbu kacang kental pedas manis, dengan rasanya yang gurih dan aroma daging bakar yang menggugah selera.

We immediately ordered the culinary satay Matang, but one more family disappeared somewhere, then later it will definitely return. Long story short, finished dinner. And they returned, we asked, apparently they were looking for a rice shop, said they could not eat rice cake, afraid of catching a cold. We all laugh, because we also don't eat rice cake, no one even sells rice cake. Because in other areas eating satay is identical to eating rice cake.

"Sate Matang" culinary was lifted from
from the name of the town of Matang Gelumpang dua, which is a sub-district town in Bireun district, Aceh, where its origin was first known as Sate Matang. And "Satay Matang" uses the main ingredients
Goat meat or Beef. Before being roasted, satay is boiled first so that the flavor of the spices is absorbed. Matured Satay is usually accompanied by a bowl of gravy

The special cooked satay is beef or mutton, which is cut into cubes, then covered with coriander spices, onion, garlic, ginger, salt and turmeric, after that it is just skewered and then it is burned.
