The number of entries yesterday was very good with many high-quality images so it was extremely hard to decide on the winning one. I encourage you to check the entries as they really were all stunning.
You can see all entries and participants in this post: 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday week #115 - the absolute winner takes 200 Steem!
Please give a huge shout out to the best ten competitors for taking part in the challenge and sharing their photos and experience with all of us here on Steemit:
It would be great if you can visit their blogs and appreciate their awesome photography skills with some upvotes.
However, the winner is only one and that is for me picture posted by @irvinesimages with the following entry:
Daydreaming. An early morning storm has passed over the area dumping heavy rain on the iconic Cathedral Rock. As the sun comes up, a gentle mist appears, rising up off of the wet rock and wrapping itself around the towering and majestic sandstone formations. Time for a little daydream. Sedona Arizona USA.
What a great contribution from @irvinesimages to the photo challenge! It is my pleasure to upvote one of @irvinesimages recent posts. @irvinesimages amazing entry from Arizona is qualifying for the weekly challenge where it will be competing against the previous and upcoming winners of the week:
@bigsambucca Asian Sunday entry:
This was one amazing spot on my visit to Bali it was called the Paluang Cliff Viewpoint In Nusa Penida, Bali the white sand beach below is called Embon Beach near the little green island looking up these huge cliff walls was just mind blowing.
@vcclothing Australian Monday entry:
The Remarkable Rocks on Kangaroo Island in South Australia is a very interesting place. These rock formations have taken thousands of years of weathering to form these shapes that you see today.
@bigsambucca Tuesday of Antarctica and world's oceans entry:
Our trip to Greece took us to Oia Santorini in Greece a beautiful breathtaking coastal town on the northwestern tip of Santorini, a Greek Aegean island. Santorini is a small circular group of volcanic islands located in the Aegean Sea about 200 km south east from the mainland of Greece. One place i did not want to leave behind the blue ocean waters were that clean you just wanted to drink it :))
@mikitaly African Wednesday entry:
Marafa, better known as Hell's Kitchen, in Kenya, is a sandstone Grand Canyon fruit of centuries of erosion of wind and rain, with rocky peaks up to 30 meters high and with colors ranging from deep red to orange, from ocher yellow to the white and the sunset gives us a wonderful landscape with fiery red hues.
@gabrielatravels European Thursday entry:
This place is called Geamana, and it represents a whole village which was flooded with cyanide and almost all the locators either died or moved far away from this place. While everything is so toxic and many people come by to see the beautiful disaster, this one kills slowly the last 5 locators left alive. The place itself is incredible while you discover the same water/lake with 14 different colours and either solid or liquid form, the air is very hard to be breath by any human. I personally had health issues after I visited this one.
The winner of the weekly challenge will be selected by you based on the dollar value of this post and then entered to a monthly and possibly yearly challenge on the way to win the price of 200 Steem in total. You can give @irvinesimages your support by upvoting this winner announcement post.
My next challenge is coming shortly: South American Saturday. Get your pictures ready! :)
