The writing prompt is to use the word: POSSESSION. I was scrolling through Pixabay looking for inspiration because "possession" seems kind of broad. For instance, you can take possession of something. You can become possessed. Maybe you are someone's possession?
What comes to mind when you think of the word possession? Here's what I came up with.

Lana blinked a few times to adjust her eyes to the darkness, but the room was dark as pitch with only shades of blacker black when she waved her hand in front of her face. In the silence, she could hear something akin to a lazy river thumping over stones in a steady rhythm. ba-dum. ba-dum. ba-dum
With the exception of the floor, it was impossible for Lana to get her bearings. For a moment she thought this was what floating in space must feel like. The smooth floor seemed to be her only physical contact point to anything.
"Hello?" The sound of her voice was distant and alien to her ears. "Hello, can anybody hear me?"
Her surroundings began to move and Lana's stomach did flips and dives like a rollercoaster does to one's viscera.
Someone turned on a light!
Lana spied herself in the mirror, only that wasn't her brushing her hair or blowing a kiss to her reflection.
She tried to reach out and grab the impersonator but her arms felt like they ceased to exist. What the hell!?
The sound of a wicked chuckle reverberated through her dark room, and the thrumming sound of the lazy river quickened for a moment. ba-dum-ba-dum-ba-dum
"Oh, Lana. It's going to be so much fun pretending to be you."
